5 things to consider when designing your bespoke team-wear.
Looking for bespoke uniforms for your team? Organising your team’s sportswear can be an overwhelming task – especially if you’ve never done it before!
That’s why we’ve put together this handy list of 5 things you should consider before making your purchase.
Do your research and check for reviews
First of all, you’ll need to pick a bespoke team-wear supplier. It’s important that you do your research on potential suppliers and check for customer reviews. Does the supplier have a good reputation? Are the uniforms good quality? Are they known for timely delivery? Are you able to communicate directly with them? You might also want to ask around amongst your sporting community and see if anyone you know has purchased from them before.
Get a feel for the quality of your uniform
After deciding on your provider, you’ll want to get a feel for your uniforms. We recommend that you choose a supplier that provides you with samples to ensure that your order is exactly what you want it to be. Once you’ve got a sample in your hands check for things like stitching, weight, fabrics, and colours to come to a conclusion about the comfortability and durability of the items.
Make sure you get a mock-up before you order.
Now that you’ve done your quality control and confirmed durability, you can start to consider the actual design on your team-wear. Before placing your order, you should make sure you see your design as a mock-up. For this we recommend that you choose a supplier with an online Design Your Own (DYO) tool. This allows you to mock-up your own uniform and place logos, names and numbers exactly where you want them, rather than going back and forth over email and hoping for the best.
Check the suppliers sizing chart
Once you’ve got your items and design locked in, you’ll need to figure out the right sizes to order for all your players. Ask your supplier for a sizing chart and give a copy to each player on your team to ensure they choose the right size for their body.
Get a quote for price and delivery
Before locking anything in, you’ll want to make sure that you receive a fixed quote from the supplier so there aren’t any surprises when it comes time to pay. Also, make sure that the quote includes a time-frame for delivery, and confirm whether or not the price includes delivery to your door.
We hope this list helps you through the process of selecting the right sportswear provider for your team. Need more help? Contact us for a free consultation with one of our uniform experts.
